Makeup trials

Happily ever after, is not a fairy tale; it is a choice. But your wedding can be a fairy tale by making the right choices, as even the seemingly small elements can make a big difference in the end.

Years down the line, when you look back on your wedding pictures, you shouldn't feel anything less than perfect. The happiness of getting hitched shouldn't be shadowed by anything, especially ghastly eye shadow! So, makeup trials are something that a bride should certainly make time for before the wedding. Other than the fact that a bride should look nothing but her best on such a big day, here are some more reasons you should not give that makeup trial a miss!

1. These days, everybody has a lot of inspiration pictures pinned and saved for each function, but how the colors or products used will look different from person to person. So, it becomes very important to try it out before the actual day in order to not have any surprises.

2. For some brides, who don't normally wear makeup, this becomes even more important as they shouldn't end up looking totally different and far from their usual self on their wedding day.

3. Checking your comparability with the artist is also very important. If not, your vision won't necessarily translate into reality. Make sure both of you are on the same page. Be sure to discuss how much coverage you are looking for with the Makeup artist (MUA) well in advance and the look you're going for in detail.

4. In case you need to have your makeup on for long periods of time, it's better to check how long it lasts without making you look weary.

5. Testing out false lashes and hair extensions as they can feel a little heavy and uncomfortable at times, so it may need a few trials to get used to it.

6. Carrying your bridal outfit and jewelry along with you for the trial is also pretty crucial as you will get the complete picture and you will have time to make sure everything is seamless and no element clashes with another.

7. Be sure to check how your makeup looks in pictures. Your photographer may be able to correct it while editing, but it is always better to be on the safer side and make sure it photographs well in different kinds of lighting.

8. Choosing the right makeup brands that fit in your budget, is also something you should discuss at the trial, especially if you're a bride who is brand conscious.

So, do your research well, know what you want, carefully pick out the MUAs you actually want to have a trial with and you're good to go!
